Madagascar

This year we choose to learn all we could about the country of "Madagascar". We had a great time reading about lemurs, boababs trees and all the great culture of the Great Red Island of Madagascar. Here are some pictures of our night !

Gym Time!

Durning the cooler months sometimes it's hard to stay active and use up some of the energy our kids build up over the long days. One of our group moms set up a playtime at our local civic center. We have really enjoyed playing basketball, learning new games and hang out with friends. Here's some pics.......

Our Trip to the Space Center!

We have been studying about the beginning of the Space Race and the Space Program. So we decided to take a little trip down to Huntsville, AL. We left out early Friday morning about 6am

(we are not usually up this early so needless to say we were dragging). It was about a 2.5 hours

drive, Brady got car sick (poor thing), but Hannah was rearing to go. We spent most of the day at the Space Center. There was so much to see and it was a great day. We got this really cool plaque with Neil Armstrong's quote " One small step for a man and One giant leap for mankind".

On the way to our hotel Hannah spotted a place called Cheeburger Cheeburger and she just had to eat supper their. It was really good and we got some souvenir glasses to bring home for the kids. We now know that we could just take our kids to a hotel for the night and they would not complain. They loved being somewhere different and just hanging out. We had to check out everything - work out in the workout room, go to the ice machine, and the little store in the lobby.

On Saturday we went to Sci-Quest a hands on Science Center. It was kinda small but we loved it. There were all kinds of fun things to learn about . After several hours playing and learning we headed home.

It was nice to get home and back to our comfy little house where we could rest up for a busy Sunday at church and spending time as a family.

I am sad to see another year pass but praying for a great new year and all its has to hold for me and my family. Happy New Year to all!
